Malaysia Gay-Themed Film Gets Applause at 1st Show

Cleared by Muslim government censors, 1st Malaysian gay romance movie unveiled to applause

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia November 11, 2010 (AP)

Muslim-majority Malaysia's first gay romance movie opens with playful scenes of a bare-chested male couple massaging each other on a beach at night — but their euphoria soon evaporates in a story that seeks to placate both conservative government censors and contemporary audiences hungry for edgy material.

"Dalam Botol," or "In A Bottle," is a Malay-language film about a man who gets a sex change operation because he thought it would satisfy his male lover, but ends up regretting it. The film earned applause from movie bloggers invited to its first public screening Wednesday, three months before its scheduled nationwide release.

"Even five years ago, we wouldn't have been able to make it," Raja Azmi Raja Sulaiman, the film's producer and writer, said after the screening. "I'm glad that at this time, at this moment, we can show it."

Malaysia's government-run cinema censorship board has long frowned on sexually provocative films. As recently as last year, the board banned British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen's "Bruno," accusing it of promoting homosexuality with its portrayal of a flamboyant fashion journalist.

But public pressure for the board to tolerate mature themes is leading to looser restrictions. Censors now say depictions of homosexuality like those in "Dalam Botol" are no longer barred — as long as being gay isn't condoned.

"If the movie had tried to glamorize the lifestyle of a gay person, it would be against our current standard guidelines," censorship board chief Mohamad Hussain Shafie told The Associated Press this week. "But the character repents in the end. We can say it is in line with our social values."

The slow-paced, melancholy film bears influences of foreign gay-themed movies, including the Oscar-winning "Brokeback Mountain" and Hong Kong's "Happy Together."

But it takes far fewer risks — its heterosexual male leads, who include a 26-year-old making his film debut, never kiss. The most explicit acknowledgment that the characters have sex is when one gets out of bed in his underwear while the other sleeps, presumably naked, beneath a blanket.

Nevertheless, there are raw, poignant scenes that capture the realities of being gay in a country where homosexuality is effectively outlawed. Though prosecutions are rare, sodomy is punishable by 20 years in prison.

Raja Azmi said the film is about a close friend who had sex change surgery in Thailand 25 years ago and wanted to warn young men not to make the same decision. In "Dalam Botol," the main character is wracked with remorse after his operation prompts his partner to abandon him.

"It's not an anti-gay movie. I believe it's not wrong to be gay, but it's wrong to have a sex change," Raja Azmi said.

Malaysia has no formal gay rights groups, but some gay men have mixed feelings about the film.

"I want to see gay characters in local movies, but it's wrong to make it seem like we're all so tragic and depressed," said a 30-year-old financial analyst who asked to be identified only as Mark. "Of course, I hope that someday, our society will be open enough to have a Malaysian movie about two gay men who meet, fall in love and live happily ever after."

The film — which has been approved for a February 2011 release to audiences older than 18 — was carefully vetted by censors from the start.

Raja Azmi submitted her script to the board before filming it. She was told to change the original title — "Anu Dalam Botol," or "Penis in a Bottle" — and remove an intimate bedroom conversation between the male characters.

Although "Dalam Botol" has potential for Malaysian acting awards, it might not lure local audiences who favor comedies and horror movies. Raja Azmi claimed she doesn't mind if it fails to recoup its production and marketing costs, estimated to slightly exceed 1 million ringgit ($320,000).

Some of the 30 bloggers at Wednesday's screening were cautiously optimistic.

"It's something new, something different," said 23-year-old university student Aoron Mikael. "And of course, all the controversy will make people curious to watch it."

Being in Oil & Gas industry is not that boring la with that long tube contains crude oil & rotten smelly gas filled the air. There is a times they had jokes, but make sure the SAFETY is still the priority. Oh ya I got my NIOSH card last week & is a MUST-HAVE i.d if you want to enter any oil & gas companies here even tho' office people like us still need to attend 1 day NIOSH course & exam just to get that I.D. *sigh* never thought I'd be in that course but then when think back,its gave alot of benefits & knowledge in safety, even at home. For us we need to attend 2 safety courses - under MLNG HSE department (for MLNG's I.D) & NIOSH (safety I.D ).

I thought that I had left my study days behind after grads, but right now, dont dream its over la. I still NEED go to a 'special' crash course classes for newbies like us. I know that Im not a fast learner but, working here you have to learn & think & work twice faster than before. I used to hate figures, programming classes ( while in I.T class), statistics & yg sewaktu dengannya, but now, these figures & I.Ts is my best friends, where I need to learn its softwares for my tasks. Tell ya, its not easy, too many steps to remember. Luckily I had a little experience that I got from I.T class & it helped alot.

Even I had to go to work in odd hours, felt like time was very short for us, but most of the times, I went back around 5.30 or 6.30 pm. There is TONS of stuff to be done & its keep on coming, after one another, especially if the plant area had come to TURN AROUND & nearly come to end of the year. There is alot of stocks that will be need for next year, because some of the stuff for the plant are from overseas & need to be ship early, to avoid stocks interruptions. I always thought that meeting is the most boringest time in the office, cos my ugly past experiences with meetings where all of us kena tiaw with that psychotic boss that makes me hate meetings. Now, the meetings are very laid back, where we dont have to be seated all the times, having teas & feel free to voice out your opinions & asking about anything.

I know that this blogg is un-updated, my home time is shorter than shortbread hehehe...

Busy, is what I can descriibed my so and so life right now. There is a LOT of things to learn & I had to be a constant observer. I had to start from the scratch, learn from the ground zero. Overtime is my new BFF right now & I had to put on hold some of my ol' daily routines like updating this blog, watched mysoju, the FB's & so on....

Eventho' busy, think I started to like what I do now, which is kinda new to me & I had to think faster and now, my memory skills are up to the new level hehehe..ok la kan...

This is what happened 5 minutes after I left the office yesterday evening...

Seorang terbunuh akibat kebocoran gas di MLNG 3

BINTULU: Seorang terbunuh manakala dua lagi dimasukkan ke Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU) Hospital Bintulu akibat kebocoran gas yang berlaku di loji cecair gas asli (MLNG) di sini petang semalam.
Mangsa yang dikenali sebagai Jamaluddin Bujang meninggal dunia di tempat kejadian akibat kebocoran yang berlaku manakala 12 yang lain dikejarkan ke hospital.
Dua daripada mereka dimasukkan ke ICU untuk rawatan lanjut, manakala 10 yang lain dirawat sebagai pesakit luar dan sudah dibenarkan pulang.
Menurut sumber, kejadian berlaku sekitar jam 4.30 petang semalam di MLNG 3 di sini, apabila berlaku kebocoran pada paip gas dan tekanan yang berlaku telah menyebabkan letupan kuat.
Sumber itu memberitahu mereka terdengar satu letupan kuat dari jarak 12 meter di tempat kejadian dan serentak dengan itu ternampak asap, bagaimanapun tidak nampak sebarang nyalaan.
Katanya, loceng kecemasan yang berbunyi pada jam 4.45 petang semalam, menyebabkan semua kakitangan di loji MLNG turut tidak dibenarkan keluar dan meninggalkan kawasan bekerja sehingga keadaan kembali tenang dan lokasi kejadian telah disahkan selamat pada jam 6.30 petang semalam.
Ketika kejadian dipercayai seramai 13 orang pekerja berada di tempat tersebut yang merupakan loji pemerosesan cecair gas asli yang disalurkan dari luar pantai.
Sementara itu pihak Hospital Bintulu ketika dihubungi malam tadi memberitahu ke-dua-dua pesakit yang di- masukkan ke ICU dalam ke-adaan stabil.

There's a lot of stuffs that been around ages & that makes me got no time to update this blog..hmmm or it juz me becoming lazy bum hehehe...maybe :)

This morning I went to a blood lab to do some blood test sample for my upcoming job. Yep, I've got the job (at last) after all the sweat & tears hahahaha and countless boringness I finally landed a job which is will be starting on Monday next week. Altho' it is not my choice job in the first place, but at least I had my own bucks to pay my dues rite?

Before start working, I must get through a security screening, Health & safety course, medical examine, in-house HSE course & security briefing & all of these steps is COMPULSORY, especially for the first-timer (like me) & NO ONE can escape from all this steps. Security at this company is very strict & security is their no. 2nd priority after health & safety.Pretty exhausting though plus the weather is really killing me cos its very hot & humid here. early this morning I went blood lab to get my blood test & now I know what type of my blood is, an A+ :)

All my life I never bothered to know about what type of it, even tho' I already got 2 blood sample taken hehehe...Now it is good to know it la hehehe.. felt like a new discovery to my mundane life.

How time fly by & JULY had reach to the end point. To me July this year brings fond memory of sadness with a little bit of sprinkle of happyness.. I hope August will bring a better tomorrow :)

Have 2 interviews to go, one for tomorrow morning & another interview is on the next day which is in Miri. hmmm...I quiet nervous about 2mrw interview, cos I never been interviewed at the largest company, especially one with the best reputation. ouch I've got goosebump attack :(

I wonder, if this news is TRUE, wow... we will see MAXIS logo in all The Magpies' jerseys, which is good to see, even Beer Chang had their logo used in some of the footie's club (lupa apa team tu). It is tiring to hear the same problems repeating like no ending. When the International club is coming, everyone excited and even sanggup beli tiket berganda2 mahal few months earlier. How times fly by & July had come approached. If we looked back to the month of June, there is few moments that really shocked/attracted/grabbed our attention, such as:

->AH1N1 (influenza A) had reached our shores (even at my hometown got 1 quarrantined patient)

-> Proposal to use Automatic cars at driving school for driving test & JPJ test (*clap*clap*) that I'waited for so looong looong time :)

-> Shocking death of 2 LEGENDARY stars -FARRAH FAWCETT & THE KING OF POP MICHAEL JACKSON

When my mum heard that Influenza had spreaded here, she intended that we had a percaution injection.OMG!!! Its bolted me out helppppp!!! I always had a 'weak' heart for syringe. I hate it everytime when the nurse tried to take my blood for test. I cringed a little la hehehe. I know Mum;s intention was a good idea but, when u takut, anything would do la...owwww...

My situation was still in OK state but my sister is far worst. Back in her primary school, there is an injection will be given out by government clinic when reached primary 6. So her turn is coming & what she do is...she skipped school with alasan, demam sigu heheehe..so she didnt kena that injection la. Until today, she still had this goosebump when she heard "awak mesti ambik suntikan untuk cepat sembuh". She will definitely get panic attack.

On Thursday 25th, June 2009, world mourned to the death of 2 legendary stars --Farrah Fawcett & Michael Jackson. My first reacted when I heard the Breaking E! News, I could not believe it at all, especially MJ's untimely death & of cos we know that Farrah' long battle to cancer. Let them rest in the peace that both of them deserved. Aminnn....

Have you ever felt your eye twitching? Twitching like mad? well that's happened to me like started three days ago. It was quiet uncomfortable until one point I had to press under my eye for a while. Old folks says there something might happen when your eyes keep on twitching like non-stop, but to me it doesnt make sense. Not that Im not believe, cos something will just happen when it want to right?

My weekend this week was pretty awesome cos my sister's birthday fall yesterday. She had this Birthday party at her favorite club & everyone was there. We had a Best times while partying until wee hour. My ol' high schoolmate was in town & she went there with me.

Hello again.....

Just came back from Gawai @ longhouse and all I can say, this year is the funny ones and I enjoyed it much. Blasted karaoke until dawn, non-stop drinkng n BBQing & my throat felt dry now. Look like aunty sore throat is coming to visit la. For the first time (in my life) I do the satay BBQ hehehe...I prepared the gravy, the marinated chicken & the skin (we making chicky skin sate too) & the result is, not bad..unluckly my cam not worked properly, so sory no pics. Maybe next time I'll consider on doing satay again perhaps hehehee...

Yesterday, I got a shocking news...my best friend, Sarina is getting married next month & she called me to break the news. OMG I was like 'WHAAAAATTT!!!??!?!?!! gal u are getting married?!?!'. My react was Im a bit shocked. I cant believe that my bestie, my sidekick shopping gurlie is getting married soon. Today, Im a bit sad that Im gonna 'lose' my best friend :(

I know it sound ridiculous, why Im sad,while I supposed to be happy for her. I know Im too driven with my feeling maybe. Enuff of the sadness, better start looking forr flight tix right now, who knows maybe MAS get the promo tix to KK. Finger crossed 2x...

Didnt take any pics recently, since my cam not worked well. Need to rest it up la & hopefully can recover back before GAWAI. Look like I need new cam, tapi no budget la...hmmm....

This evening I went for some outings with mum & sis, while waiting for them, I squeezed out to the nearby photo shop (my fav photoshop) cos the tauke is very friendly. Actually, I like to watch him managed the shop & watched 'em doing their thang there. While at the shop I always looked over the pictures, some of it are very old black & white pictures hanged all over the walls. Staring at those pictures are quiet amazed me sometimes, eventho' I stared at those pics time & time, but I never get bored of it & still LOLz at some of funny pics. Especially at 'Lost & Found' corner, alot of pictures hanged there & none claimed it back, so, they put it as a display & even some of my old highschool frens had their pictures at this corner very LoL :D

Still save sum up for new cam & look like the price is Ok la rite now not too expensive :p

It was a SHOCKING result cos alot or prediction Adam Lambert will be the winner of this season 8. terbalik suda result & the judges, seems not really satisfied but when America vote, deal with it....

Altho there is no favoritism among the contestants, I still kasian tgk Adam, but no worries, tetap juga nyanyi nanti tu. The results of most reality tv this year is quiet shocking too.... hey, who can forget Tomok as a winner of ONE IN THE MILLION, there is qlot of talented contestants, but last last, Tomok juga menang. Same too with Akademi Fantasia 7, took Hafiz as their winner. Lucky for him as he took Honda Accord to Sarawak this time... Ok la tu...

Now, what's next after American Idol wrapped up for this season. Malaysian Idol? Anak Wayang? Mentor? or Jangan Lupa Lirik (my fav hehehe). My sympatic for Slumdog Miliionaire's children actors, Rubina Ali & Azharuddin Mohammed, 2 famous actors whose home was demolished & had nowhere to stay recently. Previously, Rubina had almost kena jual by her own father. She had alot on her hand & she deserved a good life. may her future will as bright as her star now. Who knows...God's will...

Oh ya, about my short trip to KL recently, I didnt managed to squezze a time meeting ol friends there. Time was so jeles cos I got only 4 days & my Hp 's camera got prob :(

Condolence to Sarawak Chief Minister on demised of his beloved wife on 29th April ago. She lost on battle to liver cancer (if Im not mistaken la). This week, been up to some interviews- at local daily newspaper & at private hospital that will be open for business by September or October. I admit that I was clueless when the their editor called me & asked me to write an article before come for interview the next day. Absolutely no IDEA, run out of bankable IDEA. Asked my friends alot and I ended wrote anything that crossed my mind. Luckily the editor wanted me to write it in Bahasa Malaysia fuhhhhh selamatttttt. Unlucky for me, cos its been such a long long time I didnt write in BM, so a bit tunggang langgang la karangan bertulis tu. I have to double checked everything-spellings, the structure of sentences & so on. Rujuk kamus pun, only helped a little cos that dictionary dah lebih 15 years. My bad cos we'd never keep on updated our dictionaries. Then, I managed to finish my article after few hours of struggle hehehe. Ok with that, so the next day went for the interview. Thought that interview would be like other interview, tup tup, sampai saja trus kena suruh tulis berita- One in BM & one in English. whattttttttttttttttttttttt!!!! No idea! No idea lansung!! Dah la datang lambat..idea kering panasss lg cuaca ni..Luckily, their office was surrounded by newspaper, so managed to peep for an ideas. hehehe......wah, best juga durg ni jd wartawan ada masa ilek2, cuma lepas function sja cbuk tulis berita..tp best juga mcm tu.. last last the interview was wrapped up after 1 hour, after that editor satisfied with the article, the news that I wrote...fuhhhh legeeeee, then there will be 2nd round of the interview If the chief editor satisfied with it. I dont want to expect la, nanti sama juga mcm yg lain, tunggu punya tunggu...keep on waiting until bored.

hmmm..that's all 4 2day...Happy Bday to Chia Chia, cos her bday is today :)

I was approached by a friend who is keened to involve in multi-level marketing. She was too..eagered-sound when talked about that multi thingy, and all I can do just nodded, oos and aaaas about it. Sounds great & motivating macam trus mo join skali..helloooo...elooo... the economics is still cloudy macam mana mo mula..So I asked her why she just suddenly popped up with this all multi-level marketing thingy while had a good job & good life? She just told that her colleauges already succeed in that business & got RM5k a month & she was too driven by their story. I only gave her short answer 'tunggu la economi ok skit..' and she just off like that. Maybe she disappointed with my answer, biarla...

Humans... just like that, hunger for more..more and more...x pernah rasa puas.

Its not that I dont want to involve in any multi-level marketing or other businesses, I also have my own agenda but had to stay on hold right now. Not easy to get loan approval & there is heaps of stuff to be considered. When the right time coming, then everything will be on the go...weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

When I went to Popular bookstore yesterday I found a book about the DEATH & Ritual ceremony. I cant remember the exact title but that book was so tempting and since me & my sister always fascinated with death ceremony& rituals (wp takuuttt) macam mo beli sja buku tu...tengok la nanti...

HappY Easter!! Its not late to wish rite? Nothing much I got for Easter this year, only chocolate-egg from my sister & we ended up choco-fest in front of tv watching Nacho Libre. Only managed to attend morning mass for & everyone is still in Happy Easter Day mode.

TWITTER, everyone seems to get into Twitter now. My inbox had filled with alot of invitation of Twitter, I saw it on tv past few weeks & now its very 'in' thing for this month. From celebrities to clerks, everyone talking about Twitter. Besa la, just like Facebook & Friendster when it first came out, everyone tried to get an account, so do I. Some people that I know, had 2 or 3 accounts for Fs. Very Super-Friendster and the reason behind it, to get away from his girlfriend's radar & he had much time to manage his account very well. Hello again...

How is everyone weekend? Mine was so n so, as usual. Nothing much progressed & yesterday, me & my sister took puppy Shiro went out for walking outings at Tg. Batu beach. She was so actively running here & there until I nearly fall. Quiet a number of people came by for jogging, leisuring & some of them having a good time swimming at the sea. Here I managed took some picture when Shiro just staring at the sunset. It was lovely view that evening with sea breeze & sunset, never fail to amaze me. Sempat juga main-main pasir sekejap b4 balik & having a coconut ice for drinks. That evening Shiro slept early. Penat la kali. Earth Hour & Hot Weather

April F00L!!!! That's what I've got early in the morning of APRIL. Tata sent some 'konpius' msg and I called her back. Thought was urgent but I've got "APRIL FOOL" instead.huh I totally forgot that day was 1st April, but nevermind her msg really made my day. I only LOL about it. Oh ya, How about your EARTH HOUR? 60 minutes of darkness. Mine was hmm...ok juga, my granny bising2 wanted to join cos of my neighbour joint the cause, so we turned off the light for a mo' (it's nearly 62 minutes though) hehehehe.... Granny sempat jg told us some old stories from her past, that without electricity people still can survive, in fact its cooler without electricity. Thumbs up for myself cos I did a good cause hehehe..

My neighbours arereally into this cause, they all leparking outside their houses and some even singing. Look like they really enjoyed jamming in the dark aye...hehehe..

Last week and also this week, I just filled up my days with watching back to back old movies. Not really that old, in fact its last year's movies played in Astro & realized that I missed alot of great movies. Added up to my resolution this year, I want to watch as much latest movies as-I-can. Dont wanna be left out again hehehe...Has anyone watch MILK? starring Sean Penn & James Franco.

Sorry cos maybe you find out that my blog become un-updated. Had alot in my hands right now need my attention. My flight of fancy stuff also start to fill up & the weather here really slow things down. Really really hot here right now,I felt like I was gunned down by the weather and started to feel uncomfortable with all this sunburned in my arm. Hate sun burns, it really itchy and bruised here and there.

Saturday...saturday nothing much to do as my trip to KK to attend Niza's wedding got cancelled last minute. Dont wanna to talk much about it :( since all my besties are there today, I only stayed here n wishin' I was there. Really killed my mood since the day I cancelled the ticket & to make it worst I cant changed anything cos I bought the promo ticket, doubled up my tension.

Maybe bukan rezeki to go there maybe some other time, tried to be positive as I could but ended up outraged. So I watched the rerun of EXTRAVAGANZA parodies on Youtube, slowly I regained my positivity back. that parodies never failed to make me LOL hehehehe. Watching Ameng, Tora and the whole gang doing their hilarious acts. I remembered when me n Mita have nothing to do, we watched Extavaganza rerun for the one whole day and we LOLZ until tears coming out. owh what a memories of old days. Now she counting the days as a mum-to-be.

Its been awhile since my last blogging entry. Alot of things to do before I go for HOLIDAY.....yipeeeeeee...maka berkumandang la lagu madonna Holliday di kepala otaku ni hehehehhe... Im looking forward to this weekend to meet alll my gurlies there eventho' two of my frens cant make it due to working commitment. cian Ina & GG :(

Last week was an hectic week & also the worst week. Dont want to talk much cos it would spoil my very sacred week hehehehe...Everything is ready packed & I got a gift for Niza. Its not that grand stuff cos you know le bandar kecik hardly to find a gift here.

Lately, it was very HOT here in Btu..its getting hot in herreeeee (mcm lagu Nelly hehe), aiyaaa panas salah ujan lagi la salah. Look like the sales of bikini & speedos will be rising here hehehe cos I saw a lot of people picnic & jetskiing yesterday & not forgetting kayaking. Maybe I should go for kayaking since my sister said that Kayaking is intersting...hmmm..what do you think?? I never been go Kayaking before la..macam best la pulak :p So everyday is bright, sunny and the sky is blue as the sea. Luckily for me my house is just nearby the sea:)

And its convenient for us to stroll by the sea in the evening cos our puppy need her daily outings routine, also me and my sister joined our pup to jog together hehehe...As a reward...jeng jeng jeng our bodies ached here and there especially my left ankle. I think I twisted it while jogging few days ago and its hurt like hell:(

Last week I watched American Idol with daddy & my sister (my dad is big fan of AI & my sister LOLZ buddy with me) hehehe... And also Akademi Fantasia 7 I watched it with my mum(she's a fan of AF). AI not bad la this season, but cannot challenged the last year season cos David Cook is smokin' aces hot hehehe...I just watched AF cos nak 'jaga hati' my mum but this season AF also not bad la, except their dressing is very 'malfunctional'. Maybe the dresser is fashion blind or color blind. A lot of wrong combination( ketara kelam kabut)

There's alot of ep that I missed since the last AI ep that I watched is during the audition. Aiyaa I was so left out of it but its ok la can watch the rerun on Saturday ma...

Past few weeks I heard alot of people talked about holidaying in Bali. I think I need to detour my dream holiday la after this. Maybe New York city (where I can meet Dias there-missed u alot gal!!) or Toronto to meet Pearl & mr Bern to hang out or skiing perhaps hehe.. huh...I can oly dream about holidaying there. One of the staff is going to Bali for holiday in 2 weeks time....we're so envied her...you lucky girl Kiekie..ahaa bring us alot of souvenir ya (if you read this le). Another lucky friend, Ambros will be in KL to watch & do the news coverage at Grand Prix in Sepang next week and its one-whole week paid vacation cortesy of Petronas. No worries la cos like back-to-back we've got a priviledge to get alot of souvenirs :D Im not envied him over the fact that he have chance to watch the GP cos m not a big fan of GP but Jamiroqui perform? haiyaaa sangat la jeles ni:(

That is the perk of working as a Journalist in major news publishing. huh..means that he will get a chance to watch JAMIROQUAI perform as well haiyaaaaaaaaaaaaa Double jeles ni... I only can wish to watch JayKay perform but other pula yang pigi huh:(

At Last....

Finally. I've got my flight ticket to K.K :D & that means by the end of this month I'll be in K.K to attend my friend's wedding reception. Sadly, I cant witness her 'akad nikah' which is her request asking us to come earlier to be with her during the ceremony which is fall on Friday, 27th. Lucky for me cos I've got that ticket price are very cheap, only rm1 (but plus 'tis & tat=rm52) but still cheap to me (Air Asia ma...). Rite now, I only wait for Ina whether she will come join me or else she wouldnt. But from her call this morning, she wanted to join, up to her la...too much excuses already she gave us until we're started getting bored & fed up now. (sory excuse my French ya :p).

Working today started with wholesome busy as our boss suddenly need to handle last minute case. Its a complaint about some local hospital & the death of young girl who involved in car accident last month on the night of Valentine's Day . To make it worst that girl died few days after her 21st birthday. She died due to brain haemorrhage & internal bleeding & her parent wanted to sue the hospital. From the report that her father made, that hosppital will be in big2 trouble cos they will deal with the notorious Kapitan here. hmmm..this will became intersting case la after this

On the other hand, I just received a Marriage dissolution case but not yet read through everything. I managed to look through the report of the case & found out that both parties had agreed to end up their 5 years marriage. Its make me think thrice for awhile that getting married is not like playing yo-yo.Even you loved to death but if there is no TRUST , there is no point to go on & that married will 'die'. The couple already in their separate ways few years ago due to their job location. So maybe they dont want to make things becoming worst, better they go separate ways earlier.

Enough of that, it make my brain cant stop thinking la. hmmm better looks in the bright side quick. Am counting the days now to meet all my gurlies. This is our 2nd reunion since our 1st reunion last year, also in K.K . Unlucky for GG, she cant make it during Niza's reception cos she already at PLKN camp in Sandakan & she did not get a leave. Last year also, she didnt come while I was there.

Ok then..need to wrap up now cos I want to continue reading my book hehehe..till then...

March march marchy comes again. hmmm nothing much for early March to talk about. Streeesseddd out, wore out & tension are in now. hmm how to switch to "RAJIN" mode if started just like muka katak??? One of my work mate quits 2 day ago & he didnt sent any termination notice to our boss. hmm kasian dia slalu kena marah, but I dont blamed him la if he just walked away just like that cos he dont deserve such a treat like that. If I was in his shoe, maybe I do something awful & l;agi teruk dari itu. Me & my other work mates only managed to call him this morning to get a better clarification why he did not come to work since yesterday. Now we know... Better look in the bright side. I got a chance to go SHOPPPPIIINGGGG!!!! At last I managed to squeeeze some times with my sister went out to shop which is my FAV pastime. A hobby that I abandoned quiet a long times since my last trip to KK last year (Best holiday ever had :)

Guess what - I bought a book that adapted into a movie title HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU and the book is fun to read & Im still in process to finish it maybe in 2 more days la can finish read it. It was really 'Life-based' experience penned very well into an interesting story. This week is avery hectic, cos we need to rush things off before our boss went for outstation. We're almost drowned in the pool of files' cases. Makin banyak title ditambah2 and some of the deadlines is next week. Even though we're busy as hell, we still had a time to laugh about, very stress-relieved. Our department (Litigations Dept) is very the happening place, until some staffs from other depmt x tahan bising sgt. Good News is in the near time, my department will having a new lawyer for Litigations, and it such a relieved for us who had hard times to prepare the Litigations stuffs (so kami x lagi la kena blame kalo ada silap :) Tomorrow will be the last day of work for one of our staff, cik Mas. She will be quitting for good la for her. Anywhere Mas if you read this...Gowd Luck in future ya :)

Still no news from my laptop :( I wish I can get it by end of this week but I dont think so. Really missed m laptop la huhuhu... Oh ya, SUnburst KL 2009 is back next month and again, I misses that concert again for 2nd time, altho' heard that Maliq & D'essentials is going to PERFORM?!?!?! Owh..terlepas laggiiiiiii.... Maybe Reena jadi pergi tingok Sunburst kot...she also highly hope will going cos at that time, she will be in KL (hopefully..) Another GOOD NEWS...I'll be going to MIRI INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FEST 2009 in May. GOt the ticket already yaayyyyyyyyyyyy..... and Reena will be going toooooo yaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy :D I pity her cos she planned to come over last year for that festival, but she cancelled last minute la. Hopefully Hopefully everything will be settle before she came to Miri.

GOOD NEWS- Jason Mraz is drop by KL next March for a concert (kalo x silap la). OMG! I wish I was still in KL, then I can watch & sing-a-long to his performance & like his album title-We Sing, We Steal, We Dance... Im yours....hahaha..I bet the ticket is a bit pricey, but thats ok, hey...its Jason Mraz who perform mannnn. hehehe..Oh ya, Rihanna's COncert in Malaysia is change date to another date,this isdue to her incident 911 drama with Chris Brown & now,She is nowhere to be seen (updates from E! News).Poor her.Even a successful artist like her also had a downside & perks as a celebs.

My first blog for this week. Sorry for an absent. Works been cruel to us this week, cos need to prepare the Bundles thingy. I bet you guys have no clue what the bundles is all about. It is a compilations of previous cases that have a similarities with a case of the client. Nasib baik la x banyak kena prepare, only 5 Bundles & in medium size. That is still considered small amount & have to send to the High Court. To prepare a bundle, you have to study the case first, then find the similar cases that can be related to the client's case, but most of the books are choosen from the Indian High Court cases, UK High Court cases & local court cases. Once you understand, then you can start do your Bundles that already given titles by our big boss To find the cases tht had given is not easy, you have to get through LOT of books that the thickness is similar to the batu bata. Sometimes it is quiet fun reading those cases cos you will know alot of human behavior, the reason whys they DO that. Sometimes they argued over some stupids reasons, not counting the sillys & nonsenses reasons, especially the Election Petitions. Those vips sweats over the smalls stuffs. Preparing the Bundles took alot of effort & time. You have to be NEAT & TIDY. Something you must AWARE of is that 2s. Sometimes, we ended up eating KFCs while preparing that bundles thingy.

This week started unsmoothly, my handphone rosak, my laptop lagi rosak teruk..huhuhu...... So I sent my laptop to the nearest NEC Service Centre downtown. Luckily they still open & to my horror, my laptop's keyboard cannot use anymore, need to take off from the laptop's body & kena virus lagi..He told me that if I sent it late, maybe it can affected the motherboard cos it sit under the mboard. Felt like my heart been ripped off through my chest when I heard that.. I dont care about anything as long as my beloved laptop can be saved. It means alot 2 me. It had a sentimental value that I wont get it anywhere. I rather buy a new one than trade-in it. I dont care to keep it as I can see it again. I felt insecure to left it at the shop but hopefully everything will be alright.

Need to outs now, my eyes are soooooo heavy actually.....see ya thennn....

Another round, Valentine's Day come around the corner. Selling of roses are soaring high, all restaurants are fully RSVPs, cinemas are packed with couples the yada yadas and sooo on..

So what is left for us whose without the loved ones besides? hmm.... we' re left out drowning in the sea full of couples in lurrrrveee...enough of lurveee doses and get back to reality la people :)

After went back from work this afternoon (am working on Saturday), me & my sister went out cos she went for hair treatment at her friend's hair saloon. Looking around I saw a lot of people get their hair done ( of cos la nk cantik2). I only can stand only a few minutes there cos I cannot stand the smells of hair creams, hair sprays the used there. So I just went for some random window shopping & lepaking at Popular bookstore (curi2 baca buku :). Actually, I missed my old times in KL where I must went to Kinokuniya every Valentines's Day, just to read the books there but that is when I'm really 'kaya' la. While waiting for my sister for nearly 3 hours & half,I managed bought a book. Even I still not finished reading the previous 2 books that I bought last month. Looks like I had to finish that 2 first, but this latest book that I bought just now the title is quiet interesting- Conversations With The Fat Girl by Liza Palmer & good news for Sophia Kinsella's fans, there is latest book are out now. OMG! I forgot la the title of that book, eventhou' I read the synopsis ...hmm I better started save some $$ now hehehe...After that, her best friend, Cammie came & joined us for a drink at coffeeshop (dont expect any Coffee Beans, Starbucks here). Its a small & cosy coffee shop but lupa nama kedai tu & also the food there,especially the toast & coffee floats are so tempting. Im drrrooolllzz over for awhile hehehe...But I forgot to take a pics la. hmmm..will be next time to come over again for that coffee shop :) Before we went back home, three of us are went for Valentine's shoppings for our mum n granny. For this year Valentine's I got a lot of chocolate bars & candies from exchanged gifts at office last Friday. Schweeeetttt ttoooothhhh lagiiiii...and my choco's stock box are full with chocs now hehehe...

Actually, I felt soo damn tired cos I slept very late the night before & not forgetting the tensions that affected nearly entire system in my brain. Headache attacks! How d'ya felt when you got accused eventhou' you did not make that fault? Angry rite? felt like to put a bullet thru' that person's brain rite? I dont want to talk much about that stupid things, but it really really really ruined my entire good weeks. Actually this is not the first time we all kena marah, if one got blamed, then the entire departments will surely kena. I tried to be positive as I can but sometimes,a tolerance had its own limit. Trying to remind myself that once the clock strucked at 5pm, everything will be a-ok only for awhile.

Need to go now, cos tomorrow will get up early to go for mass with mum. I wish I had my 7 hours sleep back :(

MIRI JAZZ MUSIC FESTIVAL 2009

People started talking about Miri Jazz Festival 2009 which will be start in the next 2 months & half. Heard that the last year event were so happening and all out concert packed with sea of human. hmmm.... look looky I want to go la this year, cos my sister & all her friends will go too. The ticket is quiet cheap too, Rm60 for a day & Rm100 for 2 days & the event will kick start at 8th & 9th of May (need to go on Friday la) after working hours la ni. Rep for Malaysia this year is Double Take consist of Mia Palencia & Roger Wang. I heard of her before but never watched her performed. I wish that Shannon Shah & Adibah Nor will come again la this year ")

Last year I didnt manage to attend this event due to alot of 'rands to do. I totally forgot that the event is in early May, so I went for short trip with my gurlies to KK. Hmmm better ask them later cos Reena n Hakim are told me that they probably come over for this event this year. Ina will all out la for this event hehehe...

Later this evening my parent just came back from kampung. A lot of stories n juicy gossipings (mum n granny fav) I heard. Lately, I go quiet a lot of weddings & engagement invitations from my old school mates and also my gurlies, Anizah. She will getting married in March which is actually will b held on October, but they changed the date earlier to March and of cos I am going for another trip to KK. Ina had confirm that she will attend Niza's wedding too. All my gurlies had agreed to come earlier cos there will be a Bachelor Party for her. OMG! I cant believe she would getting married earlier than her plan. Dah sampai seruuu..so pa nak tunggu2 lagi kan. I'll bet there will be alot of Drama & tears will flow freely...and hopefully our 2nd gathering after 5 & half years. I cant descibe how that gathering would be and dont want to expect too much. Rosta told me that GG will come all the way from Sandakan just for this wedding party. Its been an ages since the last time she called me 2 yrs ago.

Actually, Im quiet sad but I just keep to myself, cos all of us always been together no matter what. N now she will have another main commitment and everything will be different. Dont want to talk much about this but thats reality la babe. BTW, here I posted some pictures of Shiro after her grooming n trimming last week that I promised to post it here.

Today.. it was so tiring, cos I had alot of 'rands to do; house cleaning, laundry yada yadas. Then in the noon time,we sent Shiro to the Pet Shop for her first grooming :) and the result is... she looked far more better with that grooming, thou she looked tired, but I know she happy with her new haircut hehehe. Will upload her pic later cos I lost my hp's cable, i cant remember where I put that cable la...sign of ageing.. Need to find it later la..

Later this evening, me n my sister went to the CNY open houses of our friends and bosses. Good thing is we've got quiet lot of angpows (part paling best) hehehe ... not forgetting the mandarin oranges. Before CNY holiday, we got one box of mandarin orange given by some towkeys sent to our office. Macam party limau mandarin la ofis tu.

My sickness arent recovery fully, this sneezy n cough makin teruk la.Right now, Btu is so cold n felt just like in overseas..hehehe...Raining seems to stay longer la, and again floods attacked come back again. Luckily my housing area is still in safety zone. Hujan susah..tak hujan lagi la susah...hopefully February bring Little Miss Sunshine come back again..

Welcome 2009!!!

Since this is my first blog for this month..wishes all readers Happy new year! Although its quiet late but semangat tahun baru masih ada lagi kan..hehehe..

New year started quiet well for me cos after a long time waiting..wishing & patience (sometimes it really got me) I got a job, as a Legal Secretary at local Law Firm here. Not my first choice but,at least it helped me to pay my dues rite? My first day working I tried to adapted,cos I dont have any background of this job, luckly the staffs here helped me alot & they're so friendly ( and noisy too :) We helped each other to get hrough a lot of stuffs, deadline of cases,summons & such. Sometime we had to study each cases before we do the compilation of the cases for references. Some of the cases were funny to read but some criminal cases is too sensitive n eerie to read. Until one time we felt like we are lawyers hehehee...Working here had make me think alot, especially when you know more cons than pros,think & do things faster & learned tons of new things, met lotsa new people...

Rain rain go away come again another day...Everyday & nite is raining here, not only here but entire Sarawak. Landslides, floods & tree falling everywhere. This this the worst rainy season ever. Make it worst, I've got flu n fever 2 times this month :( sneezing like mad

Right now, there is still raining cats n dogs outside, but my pup n cat is slept peacefully in their couch hehehe...

owh..times up its nearly one. Need to wake up early to take my pup for a jog before head up to work...

Its been a week now after my graduation day. It was hectic week & I got a flu on my way back to Penang from KL before. Luckily my flu is not getting any worse on my grads day. nasib baik time d hall x terbersin kuat. When in Tunku Syed Putra Hall where the graduation take place, Im so sad cos some of my besties are not there. I misses them A LOT. I felt left alone eventhough almost all my classmates are there. I didnt felt the sense of happiness during that time. I felt that only my body was there but my mind is flying somewhere else. I did not took alot of picture, I dont have an appetite nak begambar, luckily I managed to take quick photo with one of my classmate, Shari (tu pun mama nya yg tolong ambilkan). Today, things not really runs smoothly according to plan. Its been ruined by one thing and other plan will surely interrupted by it. huh...geram betul ni... Later this evening I went to this office to certify copies of my certs, but in return, I need to wait for awhile cos the officer were not in the office and me and my sis ended up waiting at the lobby. For the next 15 minutes, is still OK with me, but another 15 minutes, I cant stand it no more and Im a lil bit outraged. So in this very politely manner, I asked the clerk at the lobby. He told me that the office had been out and not yet returned to the office. Geram juga kenapa x di bagitau dari awal...huh..Me and my sister went out from that office, and while on the way to the carpark, I saw some of the officer whose supposed to be in the office are having a drinks at the canteen, OMG! Im so PISSED off!! I was so outraged, mcm mau d bagi penyapu burok saja durg ni...this is not the first time things like these are happened. Its like a trend looting during office hours. bila la nak berubah..

Luckily today I managed to watch 'Never Been Kissed' a hilarious teen movie starred Drew Barrymore, Michael Vartan, Leelee Sobieski and also Jessica Alba. At least my anger was ok after watched this movie. Everytime I watched this kind of movies, it always remind me to my hey days in Chermai college. Its the sweetest memories ever, and I wish that I can turned back time, I definately choose that memories and will do much better than before. We only can wish but this is all in God's fate, we just accepted it for it. hmmm...and the soundtrack for today is totally 90's- everything from Never been kissed soundtrack. From John Lennon, Beach Boys to the 90's Semisonic, Hole and others...its good to be back at least nda juga burink dgr2 lagu paling hot d radio...

It’s raining again outside, this week is all about the rain, nearly the whole week is raining like no tomorrow. Hmm I wish I was still in KL right now, cos MEGASALE IS ON right now. Misti banyak sale sana sini, especially at Sunway Pyramid. I missed my old routine there – jalan2 window shopping & eating before went back. Aiyoooo…Im starting it again. But now, I kinda missed my old friends, especially my gurlies – Reena, Tata, Niza & GG(wp x sempat jumpa) . Eventhough we met last few months ago, but I still missed my times with them while my vacation at KK. Hmmm bila lg balik sana oo…. Nothing much ado today, since its raining outside, every plans were ruined by rain. Hujan sini x mcm d tempat lain, hujan dari laut, agak kuat juga and its very DAMN cold outside. Felt like a winter is coming around here. Its kinda freezy outside and some of my neighbor’s kids are wearing jackets while playing at the front playground. Misti durang rasa macam d overseas la tu hehehe… I LOL myself while watching them chasing among themselves.
While browsing some old picture, I accidently terjumpa gbr2 lama. Its kinda bring back old memories & all this missing Mode is ON now J later this evening I managed to squeeze my karaoke time, blasted some old skool songs from Sheila Majid – Sinaran hehehe..hampeh2…pitching lari ke laut hehehe…My mum keep on asking about my sister’s new boyfriend, but I just keep it mum. Macam kena Edisi Siasat la pulak. Mum asked too much Q’s until I had no idea how to answer her. Hmm…leave it to herself la..

Tip of the Day : Dont make an earlier expectations

Hmm why do I posted the above tip? I dont know. Too tired to think, perhaps.. Been up to some small scale project, job hunting bla bla bla...oh ya, today, I've got a chance went to the one & only private college in town here. Its not that big but OK la, dari tiada lansung kolej. Tried my luck there by applying for English Tutor. I wondered how the class will be, cos from what I heard, the students are quiet a lot. So up to me la on how do I conduct the class. Tomorrow, I will submit the application, so wish me luck for this one (finger crossed!).

Hye there!!! Im backkkk!!! back with some recent pictures taken during the Gawai Antu at my kampung, to remember back my beloved late grandad. Hows time fly by & its nearly 2 years now since his departure. We miss ya. RIP.

But enough of the sadness part, I got a chance to wear a traditional Orang Ulu costume during that day, that was my first time wearing it..panas juga ooo...My sister & mu cousin are also wore traditional costumes, but they wore an Iban traditional costumes. Lucky me i already wore it la so no bother hehehe & one thing its damn heavy la.

Last two days are hectic since my bestie is here for short trip, before I go back to Sarawak for good. Reena arrived here on Thursday & I had to pick her up as always at LCCT. After she finished her business on Friday morning, we kicked start our journey hehehee..bejalan2 d area Masjid India, having Nasi Kandar there & we headed back to KL Sentral to meet up with some ol friends that we've havent met for ages. Sayang nya lupa ambik gbr, too busy chit chatting, gossing here & there. Second day, nothing much to do since its been raining cats n dogs here. So after having lunch, we went to meet up with Benny at his tattoo parlor at Sunway Metro. Its been ages since the last time I met him last year before went back for Xmas Holiday. He moved from his old shop at 3rd floor to the 1st floor in the building too. Ingatkan pindah jauh, rupa2nya blok yg sama. Memula tu best lepak2 kedai baru but Benny ended up busy as a lot of customers came to get a tattoo done by him, so we just make ourselves like a home there. He always busy at the evening, but mostly he had no customer at noon. His new shop had a better looks than the previous one, the pool table is still there & he had a shop manager now, no wonder la the shop is organized better now...hehehe. We ended up stucked at Benny's shop there for nearly 2 hours, cos its raining heavily outside. sigh! It really take toll of my time to search for a new wedges, cos I packed all my shoes & forgot to take one of the shoes & I only had my slippers to wear. To kill some booring moods, we took some pictures in the shop, bila tuan kedai sibuk, berabis la begambar hehehe..Benny kinda sad cos we told him that we're going back for good, & he looked sad. I know why he kinda sad, cos he just recently broke up with his girlfriend..& the rest is history he said. we promised to come over here again melawat2 kedainya.

It's been awhile since my last blog. There's alot of errands that I had to deal with before I go back for good to my beloved homeland - SARAWAK. Last Friday, I had a very luck chance to meet up with my gurlie from KK. She had some works to do here but since she's free on Friday, so we met up at KLCC & guess what, PC fair been held there. yayyyyy.. I never been to pc fair before, cos yea lo, I live in the quiet far & no one of my frens are interested to go to Pc fair. OMG! Since it was 1st day, it was so packed with HUMANS & macam pasar ikan hehehehehee...
It almost 5 years since the last time I met Niza, how times fly by & she changed quiet a bit. She dyed her hair, & loaded, besa la udah keja hehehe... we shared alot of stories, giggled, laughing out loud & took some pics together to get Reena jeles pas ne hehehee..

Last week, me & my housemate, Mita, managed to steal some study time to go to Wendy's @ Pyramid's Old Wing. Actually, we're kinda late because previously in the noon time, they held a grand opening (kami dtg petang la). so we're left out la the opening ceremony. There's nothing much since it was new, I tried their burger & baked potato, but I prefer their baked potato than their burger.

Nothing much to do on Sunday. Lazing around, watching tv with accompanied by a cup of hot black coffee, which is my fav pastime. Then by the evening rained comes heavily & went to nearby pasar malam with Janet, eating Bakso (sedap bakso nih..)

Art & Photogs Exhibitions @ Central Market's Annexe

Recently, I got an invitation to the art exhibition that held at Central Market's Annexe Gallery. Actually, I came quiet late and I only went there around 2pm (due to weather matter).All the paintings is by Burmese painter, Soe Naing (got no chance la to meet this painter sb lambat dtg). At the same time, I had a chance to attend another exhibition, its a photography exhibition by International & Asia's photographer. It is something that I really waiting for, so not to blown off the chance, I give it a go (eventhough the exhibition is started in 2 days time). But before that, I have to wait like nearly 2 hours inside CM, cos it was heavy downpour rain outside. sigh! The weather really spoilt my travelling mood, but thats ok la. So, I waited Oldtown Kopitiam, reading some books that I bought from bookshop that sells only 'UsedBooks'. Luckily I found my fav books that I've been searching for an ages. Cuba la dr dulu lg tau yg kedai ni ada bg pinjam buku (if you dont wish to buy it). Lambat crita la....

Another day in Zanmai...

Eh...How times flies passed us by . . . Its almost weekend eh...Tomorrow is Saturday & I come with no plans at all, maybe just mingle around my apmt I suppose. ermmm here I posted some pictures that I took while went out with my hsemate, Mita while outing & lazing at Pyramid later in evening, cos our beloved Rizuan condo is having a half day BLACKOUT. Its a maintenence purpose I supposed because they posted a notice downstair. And guess what? Today I tried eating some sushi & I had no allergic attack at all :)

Huh! I relieved that finally I ragained back & I can any seafood right now (but ONLY in small amount ya). We went to Zamnai sushi house at Level 2 Pyramid Old Wing. I like the ambience in that sushi house, its serenity, warm welcome & cosy. Beside, it also sells alot of Japanese packets food, ice creams, cakes, biscuits & a lot more. I kinda like that sushi house & the price is so cheap (I think cheaper than sushi king la) & the food is so AWESOME. Go on try it once, I bet you will definately come again, cos I will go back there for 2nd round hehehe.....

Last night I watched 'Step Up 2: The Street' & the movie is so damn COOL! I just drooled over & oogled to the screen all over. OMG their dance step is very damn Street-style. I bet all of them have a gruesome dance routine la before shooting the movie, even the jocks in the movie have a cool dance move. I wish I can be like that, having a slick clean-cut dance move hehehe..(in dream only). Ok la enuff said, here's the pics & enjoyyyyy :)

I tried ocha tea (typical green tea that served in Sushi shop) & it taste not too bitter (better than chinese tea). The ocha tea that served in this sushi shop is different than others. Now I started to develop a likings on that tea & it changed my view of green tea, cos previously I green tea is not my typical drink, but this one I cant resist :p

Carl's Jr. @ Sunway's New Wing

Carl's Jr had opened up their restaurant's chain in Sunway Pyramid's New Wing at Marrakesh hallway (err is it hallway? antam sja la). Actually, Mita (my lovely hsemate) told me that it already opened cos I told her that I had waited for such along long time for it to open for business. So to mark up our first journey to Carl's Jr, both of us were very hungry on that lazy Sunday & dua2 pun malas nak masak( even breakfast), that evening we headed up to Carl's Jr..thank God its just nearby heheheee....basically, at this chain its only simple one, I forgot to take a picture of the restaurant, cos Im too happy la that time...ingat mo mkn jak...so I ordered 'Superstar Burger' (pic below). The order comes in 3 different order, small portion,medium & large. At first I ordered medium, but the cashier asked me 'are u sure?' & mita tol me that she even cant finished the small portion. u can imagine how big the medium & large portion are. Burger ni mmg menguji kesabaran utk d abiskan & french friesnya mmg fresh punya kentang, bukan kentang paket ya...

Before we ended up went back, we headed up to Gloria Jean's, jauh jg macik Gloria ni buka kedai, di pelusuk2 belakang New wing. I think Gloria is kinda cool place to hangout since it was located quiet aparted from other shops. its a good place for hideaway hehehee...What I know that, probably I'll be back again to Gloria Jean's :)
